Currently represents in the Board of Assam Electronics Development Corporation (GoA), GNRC Hospital etc.Was: Founder Director of Assam Institute of Management (First State government supported management institute of India); Former Chairman- Board of Secondary Education, Assam; Member (Finance)-Assam State Electricity Board, GoA etc.
SUJIT KUMAR DAS

As CEO of GAF, he brings around 25 years of experience transforming small and medium enterprises across India and South Asia, working with the United Nations, government agencies, premier global consulting firms, and the private sector. Qualified in Business Management and Economics, he specializes in business economics, organisational strategy, policy and management, and building bankable industrial clusters. He has led the design and delivery of $60M+ green industry and energy efficiency program portfolio, shaping policy, strengthening institutional management, and creating measurable impact in sustainability and livelihoods. He champions emerging technologies, innovations, and startups to drive sustainable, inclusive industrial growth.
Pranab Kumar Sarmah
Director, GAF MSME Enterprise Development Centre (GMEDC)
With 40+ years of experience in entrepreneurship promotion and an M.Com from Gauhati University, he began as a Lecturer of Commerce before joining the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati in 1985. He retired from IIE in 2014 as Head, Centre for Entrepreneurship Education (CEE) and Faculty Member after 29 years of advancing entrepreneurship across the North East under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, GoI. He has led NEC-funded incubation projects and presented research at BITS Pilani, MDI Gurgaon, EDII Ahmedabad, and Mekong Institute Thailand. At GMEDC, he remains active and engaged in forwarding his passion for building the region’s entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem. He serves as Advisor/Member to leading institutions including the Entrepreneurship Professionals Forum of India (EPFI) and Radharaman Institute of Research and Technology. His mission: “Entrepreneurs are born as well as can be manufactured.
